I've never smoked. Never even tried it. Both parents smoked growing up and still do. I can't stand the smell. I don't hold it against anybody.

I've tried quitting nicotine 3 times. They say that smokeless tobacco is 10x more potent in the nicotine department though. Even my doc said that it's near impossible to quit. Maybe some day.

It's possible. I had to quit drinking and was forced to quit nicotine. Getting sober was not easy - @R2elk nailed it - I was not a drunk - I am an alcoholic - but I did it. Nicotine - another beast altogether. I never plan to become an active drunk again, but given a terminal diagnosis I will come home with a bag of Levi Garret in one hip pocket and a bag of Red Man green in the other along with a chew in each side of my mouth. I take part in a sport where many chew leaf tobacco. I am tempted frequently, but a promise is a promise.

Never licked an ash tray, but have kissed a smoker.

I didnt know they made cinnamon. Maybe I need to try that. I tried the mint. I also tried going cold turkey. That was probably my biggest mistake.

Cold turkey is a killer. I couldn't do it. I really liked the wintergreen.

I don't chew tobacco. Doesn't give me what I need after dipping for so long. Love the smell of chewing tobacco though.
