Just joined and want to say hi

My partner and I have friends in Vermont who raise chickens for the eggs. There is nothing better than fresh eggs, so we decided to give it a try. We only have three chicks. I built the hen house and totally fenced in yard for them and now just have to wait for them to be old enough to start laying. I found this site when I google searched "how often do I need to clean out my coop". Someone told me only once a month, and we were doing it every other day.... Lots of different ideas, and useful tips so far, and I have only been in here for a few hours!
Any other Cape Cod chicken people out there?
