Hello!

My name is Krystal!

I am a wife and mother of two girls. My husband and I just bought 5 acres in southern Utah and is building. Will be done end of summer 2015.

Today, I am expecting my first shipment of heritage Narragansett eggs. I am very excited to get started!

I have done alot of research of heritage turkeys and some on chickens. Some of the turkeys I am interested in is first, the one I got. Then the Black or Spanish Black, Bronze, Royal Palm, and the Slate/lavender. I like there breeding and colors.

The chickens I like the Dorkings, Langshan, Brahma, Easter egger, Olive egger. Last two, not sure on breeds.. there are a few others I liked as well. I liked these one because of the colors, egg colors, when they lay and the meat. :)

Anyway, I hope to meet some of you soon! Have a wonderful day :)

On my experience with brahmas they are awesome. If you take really good care and handle as chicks like I do the are really cuddly. Even mine as a two year old would let me pick her up and she would fall asleep in my arms

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

Sounds like you have a very nice flock of chickens. I hope you can get some turkeys too! My grandma always kept royal turkeys. They were so beautiful and fun to raise. I would recommend them!

Best of luck with the hatch! Feel free to ask ANY questions you may have. Glad you joined our flock!
