I know that there are posts many times over about chickens with swollen heads. Alas, I am starting another mostly to share pictures and get some help.
I introduce to you all, Rema, my son’s silver laced Cochin. She is a princess and an award winner. She has a sweet demeanor and a soothing nature, so much so that we joke as a family that she is the “emotional support chicken”. Now she needs our help.
We believe she has Coryza but after one round of antibiotics we are not seeing any improvement. Some friends set us up with Oxytetracycline and we are about to visit a vet tomorrow. She is lethargic and has lost substantial weight.
Any help from the crowd would be welcome.
