We have been raising chickens, along with ducks, geese, rabbits, pigs, dog and cats off and on since i was a kid. Fast forward 50 yrs and im still raising laying hens. I have regular egg customers and helps supplment social security. Currently had 45 hens in coops. And 14 roosters that have a old van shelter but are mostly free range unless im filling the incubators. I do rooster rescue for the folks in the city that end up with rooster and cant keep them

Do roosters go through it the way hens do when introducing a new member to the flock or are they more like human men and are just as likely to swap stories over a cold one?
