Hi everyone. Looking for any advise on getting this whole process started. Looking at getting a handful of chicks to raise for egg laying mostly! I have already looked into the guidelines here in the Springs so really just looking for some advise on how to start and what essentials are needed to get things going. Thanks in advance.
 
Welcome and you have definitely come to the right place to get all your answers. How many are you planning for and are you going to build a coop or buy one? Are they going to be free range or in the coop and run area?

We are thinking about 5 to start. We will be building our own coop (when I say we I mean my husband) and we plan on having a run area but also letting them free range in our fenced in yard!
