The question I had was if you cross a silkie with a RIR is it better to use a silkie rooster or a hen for crossing which blood line will be more dominant.

Yes if you look at some breeds you can see a lot if the jungle fowl in them they must have a very strong blood line but then all chickens originate from them. Especially in the bantam breeds. Her is a nother jungle fowl.

You can see were the old English game , Japanese bantam , American game and red leghorn get there looks.
