I was getting eggs until it started getting dark around 6:00pm and then they just stopped laying...I don't know how long I will have to wait until they start laying again
 
I have the feeling many of us are getting frustrated on that account. At least my hens who were laying have kept laying, just not to the extent they were. My problem is the pullets who I felt should have started laying, by now, seem to be in no hurry to do so.

They wouldn't wait for spring would they?
Last year my young birds started laying from beginning of Dec to beginning of February. All at the six month mark.
This year I have birds in the 6.5 month to 8 month age group who haven't produced one egg.
 
I hope they don't wait until spring and also I don't know if I should stop feeding layer feed since they are not laying?!?

So glad you joined us. My girls have slowed way down, only 2 of 6 laying now. I am continuing with layer feed, it won't hurt them and hopefully both our egg baskets will be full soon.
 
I am looking into sprouting for the rest of the winter to cut down on my feed bill it looks like alot of people are doing that
