Hello! Welcome to BYC!! :frow

Congratulations on your hatch, Donna! Do you plan on getting some friends for puddle?

Feel free to check out the links below for some interesting reading. Good luck on your adventures!
Hi and thank you. I hope Puddle will have friends very soon but not a happy situation.
I have 3 white call ducks (pets) 1 male and 2 females.
One young female was sitting on 3 eggs in the garden. Today I saw a chick pop out from under her. Later on she passed the window looking upset. She had taken the chick walk about and a crow or rook had got it. I checked her nest and there were 4 eggs in there.
1 had pipped, 2 look as if they are about to break into the air cell and the other still has a way to go!
I think the other duck has been laying in her nest??
I can’t think of any other way there could be such a huge difference in development. Any idea? Please

Hi and thanks for allowing me to join.
Because of the amazing information from here I managed to save a call duck baby! Puddle had been laid and left on the grass so I put it in my incubator and followed advice from here.
He/she is now 1 day old, strong, noisy and bouncing with energy!
Thank you
