Just made some thermal covers for the 1 gallon waterers...

I made one of them for each of my chicken tractors (5). I made this one first and then made 4 others using the bucket as a form, because I only had 2 buckets. The bucket is one of those 5 gallon plastic buckets that plants are potted in at nurseries. In the pens, I put a square of the double bubble foil under the waterer and then put the cover on. I know this won't work for those of you up North, but it should be good enough for the few mornings we have down here in Mississippi when the temps drop below freezing. Of course it will probably be useless this week as temps will be in the teens at night. But we will see!

If you look on my chicken page, you can see that I use that stuff on their pens. Actually, I use the stuff for all kinds of things. I have never seen them eating or pecking it.
