Today I drove over an hour to visit my younger son and see the remodeled home he is renting. The brick house is great - 3 bedrooms (one is pretty small), a large bathroom, living room new kitchen with eating area, basement, hardwood floors, nice yard with pecan tree, nice back yard, two car garage, nice neighbors, and a couple of out buildings in the back....wait....what is that in the overgrown field beyond the back yard....it looks like.....IT IS!!! An old chicken coop! I swear that is what it is: white washed, large open window area in front facing east, door on the side facing the house, roof sloping from over the windows to a shorter wall in the back. A traditional shed type coop! Ohhhhhh, be still my heart!
Too bad it's just down the road from my ex-DH or I would consider retiring there in a few years. Oh well....
