Just my luck!!

So a month ago I hatched out a dozen Barred Rock chicks. Hubby's been doing most of their care as I have about 6 dozen other chicks that I'm caring for. I look into their brooder in the barn and just about fell over. 9 out of the 12 are cockerals!!

Are ya kidding me?? 9 out of 12? This is JUST MY LUCK!!!

Anyone in NE TN want a cockeral?? LOL!!

WOW!!! That is alot of cocks!!! I have a barred rock, but she's a hen

I think all of my chickens are hens.... i sure hope so. That is just your luck!!

Goodness that's quite a ratio lol It has been the year of the roo for sure!!! I'm hoping my next hatch will have a few hens (Porcelain D'Uccles and Partridge Penedesencas) after so many roos myself this past Spring and Summer. It's ridiculous.
