He (bil) is no longer here. He is gone. My kids are grown and on their own (ages 19 and 21) and my husband is in the Marine Corp. He isn't here at the moment. I let my BIl stay here as a favor to my MIL. He is childish and is used to getting what he wants. I guess cause of the money spent on chicks, feed, brooders, building supplies and of course treats, he was upset that, that wasn't money spent on him. The gates are now locked and my dog is running the property so if he comes in...well, I can not help it if my dog don't like him.
I can not believe that someone would be so cruel they must really be sick. I wish the best for you and all of yours. I hope your BIL gets what he is due one way or another. So sorry for your loss.
I'm so sorry for your losses. Widget is beautiful. Glad to hear your BIL is out of the house now and I hope you and FIL make sure he stays gone. Bless your DH for serving his country.
I second the idea to put a padlock on the coop, although if he cut holes before that might only help if you leave the dog out at night. I hope he wouldn't hurt your dog.
I agree with your FIL that it was BIL, especially since he came and woke you up afterwards... that's just sick like he wanted to see your reaction...
This makes me sick to my stomach. I hope he stays away and you get some new fluffy butts to take your mind off the losses.

We are going out to look at locks. I want something that can't be cut with bolt cutters. It's a sad day when you have to treat your birds like Ft. Knox. But they will be safe at least. I'm so paranoid now that I want 2 locks on the coop door and a lock on the door to the pen.
I have been looking at ordering some fuzzies. I have about 14 chicks left of different ages.
I think I might look into some kind of alarm system as well as a night cam so that if he tried anything again you could press charges and would have proof. I'm so sorry... the lack of integrity in some people astounds me almost daily.
