Pics will be forthcoming, but I've been really busy lately.

As for why I moved from the city - why not ;D. The city has its place I guess, but open space and not having someone breathing down your neck, let alone the government regulations and taxes in California driving businusses out of the state . . . it was time to go!

The final straw was my wife's grandmother being sick and bouncing between hospital, nursing home and assisted living. We decided to move back to the country and move in with her and allow her to be home. My wife is a stay at home mom/homeschool teacher, so she can be around to assist her grandmother. It's really a good fit (most of the time).

Now that we're here we are trying to take baby steps toward a happy country life, starting with chickens and a healthy winter garden

That's a great reason for leaving the city. I was just curious because it seems more people are leaving the cities than go to them. Never asked anyone why.
