Just picked up almost 50 hens... A little rough

As I look at them more and more there seems to be about 4-5 roosters... Not 2

when you say treading the hens? What do you mean? I am pretty sure I have a clue... But want to make sure.

. I saw at least 2 BO roos.

If there are about 54 total birds and of that number, 4 or 5 are roosters that is about a suggested mix if they are getting along and not ganging up on the hens. Some suggest 1 rooster to about 8 or so hens.

I am not real good about picking out the not so obvious roosters.

I would like to end up with 2 of the roosters for sure. The two odd balls and maybe the one dominicer.

I picked them up oyster shell and oil black sunflower seeds yesterday and fed them some live meal worms which they seemed to love.

It amazes me that you can already see some of the feathers starting to come back in. I guess the extra space is helping out a lot as well. They even all put themselves to bed last night and gifted me when another dozen eggs. More nesting boxes and roost will e built this weekend :)
