Long drive to buy two young turkeys from a 9 year old kid that is raising them. That was cool! They are supposed to be Narragansett. Can anyone tell me the age? Thank you very much. I thought I'd make food and water easy at first because it's very hot today and I have heard turkeys aren't very bright, LOL! Plus, since they are bunking with the chicks, I wasn't sure they could get their big beaks into the chicken sized feeder and water.

Notice the chick in the background going, "WTH is that?!"

I'd say around eight weeks or thereabouts.

I've got some Midget White poults you could pair with them.

As old as yours are they've long since figured out the feed and water thing. That's really only a concern for the first day.

Thanks, Mr. Hagan! I might have to add a few of yours to our coop at the swap on the 30th.

Do Narragansetts and Midgets cross well? They are similar in size, according to my little handbook.
