Since I only need 10 birds this year I placed my order at my local feed store and they get a collective order from Cackle. She only orders what costumers want and doesn't have any "random" chicks in her store.
I ordered 5 Austra White pullets, this seems to be a new thing that Cackle does this year. It is apparently a cross between a Black Australorp Rooster and a White Leghorn Hen. They will be white with some black speckles and lay white eggs.
And I ordered 5 Salmon Favorelles straight run. Since I only have space for 5 - 8 chickens the rest roos of the Salmon's will get butchered.
So excited, sometime March my Babies will be here
