I almost had to call in to work cause I could not get out of my chicken coop!!!!!

I do not think my boss would believe it.

I do believe this would be the worst excuse ever used.

I was late, had to give my chicken a bath.
Guinea got hit by a car. Late again.
Had to take off, chicken is in movie shoot.
Had to glue rooster's beak back on. Late again.
They get used to it, after a while. (She says to herself, waiting on the unemployment line....)

And HOW DID you get trapped in the first place?

I could not get the latch open, it is a dog pen and has a strange latch that if you get it cockied

it gets stuck

that will have to be changed

I've already accidentally locked my sis and bro in the coop. They went to get out and were like, "Isabel! Open the door!" So, I ran back and opened it. Next time, I'll do it on purpose!

Once, i was leaving the chicken barn to go get the mail and my parents were inside. Well, out of habit, I latched the door. Didn't even think about it. I really didn't do it on purpose! They were real mad at me for that one.

One time, my friend locked me inside one of our coops inside the barn, then she got locked in the other one. I was so mad at her.


I've locked myself in the same coop tons of times and i had to get a feather and poke it through the wire and turn the latch.

Luckily, I can rach my fingers through the chicken wire on my coop and get the latch opened if I get locked in.

I am glad to know i am not the only one.....
But on the up side, there is no better place to be locked in.
( I might think about a port-a-potty and bottled water for an emergency stash in there )
