Just practising? Or should I keep searching?

Once you start making proper breakfast with them, you'll feel awful about how many eggs it takes to make an actual meal. LOL
And forget using them as eggs in recipes unless you find a good conversion factor. (Though I used store eggs in baking anyway since I know the measurements have to be 'just right')
Three of my birds are quite a bit bigger for some reason (I think the dad might have been a standard sized ameracauna) so I’m hoping we get a few slightly bigger eggs! Otherwise I may have to add a couple regular sized hens...

Not trying to turn you off from bantams at all. I just think how much work the hen goes through for such a tiny egg and I feel bad. But my normal sized hens lay medium eggs so I'm not really maximizing things on my end either. I miss my cute bantam ladies.

I cant remember if she sat her own eggs or not. I know she was broody on eggs in an elevated milk crate once - so they didnt stay warm enough and weren't viable - but I don't recall if she laid her own eggs this time or if we just gave her regular eggs from a different hen.

I have a GF bread recipe I like and had it down to a science. What worked well for me was cracking eggs into a measuring cup to know the VOLUMN of egg I needed. I weighed the eggs first, so I could relate the two measurements. I need about 150-155 grams of egg in the shell to equal the 2/3 cup of egg. So two jumbo store bought eggs, or 3 of my girls' own.

you are
