She's shaking really hard and can't/won't stand. Her eyes seem like they don't always see me. I have her under a heat lamp inside and wrapped in a towel. She's been shaking for about 15 minutes now. What else can I do?? I think she is in shock.

i had similar situation, i washed my hen in warm water for probably 10 mins, then wrapped her in a towel, then i used the blow dryer on her on warm setting. She is good now and is my sweeteest hen.

I agree, a blowdryer on a gentle setting would be a good idea if she's still wet and cold.

If you think she's in shock, giving her some sugar water or water with electrolytes might help her to perk up.

I don't own a blow dryer! I have curly hair. But she seems to be perking up--I've been rotating her from side to side and front to back under the heat lamp to dry her all over. She just stood up and walked a little bit and isn't shaking as hard. She's no where near normal though. I considered giving her some strawberry smashed in water, that usually perks up any sickly birds fast, but I'm not sure at this point the poor thing needs more water! I held her upside down as soon as I pulled her out of the pool and a lot of water poured out of her nose and mouth...

This is what I've done and it's worked great, one of mine has drowned 4 times now,,,,, I'm thinking he likes the attention. But I sure hope your's comes out ok.

Four times!! Yikes. I'm thinking of putting the duck pool up and only getting it out for supervised swims...
