I put the thermometer/ hygrometer on top of the eggs. It measured 101.5 degrees and 43% humidity. I always wondered what it would be. I guess you could say that my thermometer/hygrometer are accurate?

Nice experiment

I cant say that your thermometer/hygrometer is correct, but I know that the old hen is. By the way my humidity runs an average of 42% in the eggs Ive got going in the incubator. It uses about 30cc water per day. The room runs from 40-45%.

should I still increase the hum. in the bator after day 18 to about 70-80%? i read that here on this website... or just leave it at mid 40s until they hatch?

What an excellent experiment. I like that !!!!!

Are you going to try to keep/put it under her during those last three days so you know whether her humidity goes up to that 60-70% that we all try to reach in our incubators?

This is very interesting.
