My new chicks arrived today... 3 silkies, one golden spangled hamburgs, and one golden sebright. The poor sebright was not looking too good but after drinking, eating, and resting it seems a bit better. Anyways when I opened the box, they were ridiculously smaller than my 2 weeks old standards and bantam (one RIR, one EE, one red star, one australop, one rock, one silkie and one 3 week old silkie), therefore, I decided not to add them together because the new ones are too weak yet, however they can see each other. I was thinking to keep them separate for 2 weeks and after add them. Do you think it's ok or should I wait even longer?

I have never had problems integrating my chicks once it is determined that they are all strong and healthy. I supervise short visits and then increase the time spent together until I am assured that no one is getting picked on. Once, I felt I had a bully in the group, I sold it quickly - end of problem. Hope your little Seabright does well.

Thank you... I really didn't feel comfortable putting them especially the sebright with the older ones, however I put some hardware cloth in between them, so hopefully the introduction in a week or two will be easier. The only thing is one of the silkie keeps peeping, i don't know why.

Hi, can you post a picture of your little Spangled Hamburg? I got a mystery chick with my other chicks this Tuesday and I am trying to see if she is a Spangled Hamburg, but I cannot seem to find any little baby chick pictures of that kind.

Or I could post a picture of mine and you could tell me if they look the same?

Thanks

. Thanks for the picture. I think that I have either a Buttercup or Golden Campine. I hope it is the Golden Campine because the buttercup is not cold tolerant and has a wierd comb. Thanks again
