Well one girl still isn't herself, not sure whats up. My poorly girls are getting some anti biotics tomorrow so I will give her some too. I really don't know what is up with her .

Johnn have your wee hens been wormed? Only ask cos mine have perked up no end since mine started their course. Last dose tomorrow! Checked mine at work and they had Ascaridia Galli....large (10cm!) roundworms :/

Yep, before they came they were wormed, vaccinated and lice/mite treated. Not sure whats happening with the poor girl. Will check her poop tomorrow just in cae! But I highly doubt it.

You may not see evidence of worms, if she's been wormed should be fine but if in doubt you can get a faecal egg count done through your vet to put your mind at rest. That will pick up on parasite eggs and will verify wormer has worked. Depends on the wormer, as some don't cover all parasites. Mine got an oral dose by weight of fenbendazole (panacur) as they had a high burden of Ascaridia (10cm roundworm...looked nasty under a microscope!) and I wanted to cover for tapeworm as well. Going to check their samples next week for parasite eggs just to make sure they are clear before their new pen is ready to go into

Will let you know how she is tomorrow. I am going to syringe some sugar water into her to get her up and eating. She is drinking but not eating. I really hope she makes it!

Aw bless her, hope she does too. Yeah sugar water might give her a wee boost enough to get her eating. Maybe tempt her with some mealworms or something
