Hatching
So... erm, hi!
I figured it was time for me to join the community as I have been more of a lurker for the last few months. I'm Ben, a new Quail keeper from Bristol, UK.
We got our first batch of Quail in April / May this year, but these sadly did not survive much longer than a few weeks due to the neighbourhood fox (which we didn't know we had!) destroying the hutch they were in. Since then I have converted our garden shed into a Quail coup and we have had our second batch of birds for a few months now with no issues at all.
We have 7 Japanese (Courtinix) and 7 Italian with one mail of each breed and they all seem to be getting on ok together:

You can see more of them and the shed here http://jerseycottage.uk/2015/06/01/introducing-quail-land/ - I keep this blog for the birds, recipes (we love our food - who knows, there may even be some quail recipes at some point), home brewing and gardening.
As I said, we (my wife and I) are very new to this still and I'm hoping to learn a lot from you more experienced owners and breeders here!
