Just set 68 Delaware eggs...anyone else due February 17th?

How is everybody doing? I just had to check my mystery eggs since fertility wasn't guaranteed. So I candled. Its the end of day 3 and most of them look like they're starting. I saw tiny veins on 2 of them. Of course I didn't even attempt the BCM's.....too dark!

i have a roo from will marrow & another roo from a local private owner and everything else pretty much originated from texas poultry but were culled very heavily

I set 48 mixed eggs yesterday (1/29) as a test batch. PaulaJoAnne volunteered some beautiful eggs and will get back whatever hatches. So, it looks like we are two days behind you.

Has anybody ever moved an incubator while its got eggs in it? The room air temp spikes are killing me! It's wasn't this cold for my last few sets, so the room stayed between 62-70. Now it's dropping to 58 and I get cold, so I light a fire and it gets to 70! I keep towels around the sides (LG) so I remove them as it warms up and I check it every 20 minutes when I know the temp is changing. It's just a royal pain. I think I want to move it upstairs.

I would move it too. You might try adding a couple of paper towels to the water trays so it doesn't slosh around as you move and then remove the towels and replace the water when you get it all in position.

68 Delawares?? You are so lucky! Thats a great breed.My chicken eggs(various) are due (I think?) the 12th/13th and my duck eggs (crested indian runners and mixed)around the 19th/20th.

I waited till this morning to move it. I put it upstairs where the hatcher normally goes. Hopefully temps will even out now.
I did candle again and it looks like almost everything is developing!
