Just set 68 Delaware eggs...anyone else due February 17th?

This is my first hatch and it is "due' on Feb. 16th! I have 3 Australorps and one Australorp/Barred Rock Bantam Mix. I candled them at 4 days and seen dark blobs but I can't see veins yet.. I don't think my light was bright enough. I'm hoping all is going well!

Today is day 5 & all I have is a regular flashlight & I couldnt see jack!!

I normally dont candle till day 7...I did some veining on some, but others were too dark or didnt have enough veining to be noticable. Some were so slight that I could bearly see it, others were real obvious. Anyways, either my crazy thermometer really is crazy or my flashlight sucks. Either way I need to invest in new Thermometers/Hygrometers & a Candler....any suggestions on a relatively inexpensive candler that actually works.....and by works I mean better than a flash light, bc my flashlight works really well, once we get to like day 7 or more haha....the closer to hatching the better it works.

Go to your fridge and get an egg out. Candle it. It should be completely clear with the light illuminating the whole egg. This is what you don't want to see with your bator eggs. With your incubator eggs at 4 days, shine your light from above through the aircell. You may be able to see some small veins starting. Then move your light to below the egg. It will look like a mass is hovering near the top. That is what you do want to see. If the whole egg is illuminated like the fridge egg, it's not starting. Mark it with a pencil and PUT IT BACK IN the bator! Give it a few more days, you just never know!

I set some on the 25th and the 29th. May I join?
