my Aussie hatched 6 babies 2 weeks ago today and her last one hatched in the incubator 1 week ago tomorrow. She has all 7 babies with her and she is a great momma. Actually she was very good all through the hatching would let me candle the eggs without so much as a peck. This was her first time too.

this is my third broody expirience, and it's a dream every time!

I had a Australorp go broody on me in winter she hatched 2, and I had a wellie/game cross go broody the same time as the austalorp and she hatched 2 too. Where hatch buddies and the same hen who hatched in winter (wellie/cross) went broody now and has 9 RSL eggs
