And we are not off to the best start already.

Left the eggs from yesterday, with the hopes that we would have 10-12 there waiting today, only to find there was only 6. But that was ok, i thought i would still put them in and put more in tomorrow.

Well collected all the eggs and was just heading out of the coop when Clarence the Rooster decides he wants to have a go at me (which he doesnt usually do). As i jump out of the way 4 of the 6 eggs go flying. 2 are destroyed straight away, 1 was ok, another i thought was ok turned out to be cracked.

So i now have 3 eggs in the incubator

Hopefully tomorrow will bring more eggs for me to slip in there. But i was not happy with my rooster at all!!

I had my stick ready to take him on this morning if he started! And he had one of the cracked eggs thrown at him (which missed completely LOL)

Two more eggs in the incubator now, still toasty and warm from being layed. Hopefully will have a few more in there this arvo that i can stick in too.

Grand total is now up to 5! But given i put 10 of my eggs in my daughters classes incubator and we got 6/10 and 6 under a friends broody silkie and got 6/6. Im hopeful of a good hatch.

Best of luck! I had a couple roos that were nasty on timeout....now my turkeys are getting greedy with food when I come in and jumping up at the bucket....They get separated next I think...

Chicken time out. Some of ours are getting a bit greedy with food too, especially in the morning when they know its coming!

Another 2 eggs out of the chook house and into the incubator! now we are up to 7. Hopefully will get another couple by the end of the day. Will get tomorrows lot as well and I think that will do for the first hatch
