So glad you could join BYC! I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your chick. It sounds like a predator took her. Some predators won't leave a large mess. A hawk could have swooped down and grabbed her, leaving only a couple of feathers. Even a cat might have been able to leave little trace of her.

It is always hard to lose a beloved chicken.

Thanks! We found some feathers close to where the road leaves to a little forest so I guess it was either a ferret or a wild cat. Fixed the enclosure and should be predator proof now.... thanks a lot
