So I had a new batch of chicks hatch out. I've tried everything I can think of to make one of the chicks be quiet, short of culling. At this point, it's looking like an option.

This chick has 2 brothers/sisters so being alone isn't the problem. He has food, water and the perfect brooder.

He DOES have spraddle leg which is being fixed, but he chirped like something was mangling him LONG before that. Any ideas on how to make this chick be quiet? At 2AM it's not the best alarm system in the world.

The radio is already playing very close to the brooder.

How old are they? I had one that started the distress peeping the day after I put them in the brooder. Although I did dip its beek in the water when I put them in and the others were drinking, I dipped this one's beek in the water again and and set her down next to the waterer. She quit peeping and drank a lot of water.

Winds up I think the chick is blind. It "feels" it's way sound the brooder and "feels" where to drink. It hasn't grown at all sobif it is eating, it's a small amount. It is pooping but 3 days after hatching it's still doing the stress chirping.
