Hi, I'm from Indonesia. No, I'm not new to chickens. I got my first chickens since 1996. It was four to be exact. One cockerel and three pullets of Kedu chicken. I have their many many descendant until around 2008 and then sell all of them. But I started again in 2013 until now. The same Kedu chickens.
I have 2 roosters, 6 hens, 2 cockerels, 2 pullets, 10 chicks (March 2019). All of them are Kedu chickens cross with Kampong chickens.
Why I raised chickens? Chickens are my main source to entertain myself. Every one of them certainly have distinct personalities and it's amazing just to watch them playing around. Another reason is for their eggs and meat. Yes I eat them.
My other hobbies includes reading, drawing, and writing.
My dad is the only family member who are helping me to feed them when I'm not around. Thanks dad.
I know BYC from searching certain topic about chickens from Google (about disease, their food ration, brooding, etc). It gave me many information about chickens and especially to meet with people who are sharing the same passion about chickens. That's why I join here.
