Just starting off

1-2 days old throw them all together ... after that it could get bloody, the older they get, the bloodier it could get ... could, might get lucky, and they are all buddies ... rarely happens ...

Different breeds have different temperaments ... more mellow, may integrate easier ... what breed(s) are you talking about?

Chickens are social flock critters ... they depend on a cast system (pecking order) they are not given a number at birth, and stick to it, they need to work it out ...

Having a time to see, but not peck, looking at each other through a fence for a few weeks helps them get to know each other a little ... no guarantee that a few feathers won' fly though ... but that is normally what it takes to get things worked out ... they need space to working things out, lots of space, not a tiny cage, or we are back to "cock/pullet fights"! ;)
