Just Starting Out

Hello! I'm Sarah and I'm from Kentucky!! Just Starting out with chickens and learning more and more everyday!! I have two hens, 13 eggs each. I am trying to figure out how to get them to set so we can have doodles!

Congrats on your first chickens. What breed of chickens do you have? Do you have a rooster? If the eggs aren't fertile, they won't hatch. And some breeds are not likely to sit on eggs. A bit more information and maybe someone can give you some tips.

I'm not sure the breeds of them but I have bantams and game chickens. I have a pair of each! I also have 3 Barred Rock but they are only around a month old.

Thanks! I still have my roosters in the pens with my hens. Is that why my hens aren't setting on their eggs?
