Hi, I'm in Cambridge, UK, just beginning a new journey keeping hens. My Plymouth Rock eggs for the incubator just arrived and I'm very excited. I already have the best, friendliest Chihuahua in the world, and 4 beautiful friendly bunnies, in a couple of lovely Eglu runs, to separate the boy from the girls; I have great neighbours too which helps as gardens here are small. I'm gardening a lot, so I let the bunnies out to run around and dig in the garden. Sometimes it's even useful, if they dig up a few potatoes for dinner, or make a hole just where I want to plant something. People are always stopping by to speak to my animals over the fence, which is lovely for me, especially during these times. I used to do lots of sewing and knitting etc by hand but am disabled by hand pain from doing this stuff which had kept me busy for years, so these new activities are filling me with new purpose and joy. Creating stuff to give away was very fulfilling, but this new farm fills me with a deep love for my animals which I never expected. Hooray!! God is good, always.
