I'll also drop a greeting for my backyard silkie bantam chickens who are currently sleeping in the shed coop (Miss Floof, Mister Buffy and Mister Blue). I picked them up free as newly hatched chickies a little under two years ago from craigslist from people who had received extra hatching eggs in an order which (un-expectantly) all hatched. [FYI - A stealthy hawk got their siblings Miss Ebony and Mister White about a year ago] Now they are enjoying scratching, dusting and doing their chicken stuff in my backyard and small garden space next to a public park.
Appreciation goes to the posters of backyard chickens for some insightful help regarding all sorts of different things I have searched for. Thanks for the posts and God Bless!
