I have a chicken named Patches. Patches is either a Red Sexlink or Rhode Island Red, she is one year old. She was found on the side of a HIGHWAY, skinny and covered in infected wounds. My friend who found her brought her to me and she was super scared of everything. This was October 2020. After MONTHS of recovering she is now the nicest chicken i have! Her skull is broken ON her right eye. She is now my little baby and follows me everywhere.

How sad that someone may have abandoned her on the side of the road. Poor girl.:(
Good thing she now has a wonderful home!:love

It's strange that I sometimes see chickens out in the public unattended to. I saw a pair at target a while ago. I wonder what could have happened...

What is heartbreaking is that i have about 10 rescue animals from the same situation. I have 2 Black Austrolorp Roos that were left at a Seafood Restaurant.. And the Duck in my PFP i watched someone try to make a WILD MALLARD take this poor Kacki Campbell Duckling. I also have 2 sheep that were found on a hiking trail... I am starting to think I have to many animals...

That's kind of you to rescue so many animals. What confuses me is why would someone purposely abandon animals although many people are willing to take them in anyways?:hmm
