Just took 1.5 pounds of jerky outa the oven - Dogs are drooling

We make venison jerky every year, but it doesn't last long around me. I have NO CONTROL!!!!! If it's in the house, I will eat it.

I use my dad's recipe. It has a sweetness to it like a teriyaki sauce.

6lb venison, cut in strips
1 cup lemon
1 cup soy sauce
1 cup red wine
1 cup molasses
2 packages Lipton's Onion Soup mix-I crush the dried onions (while still in the little packets with a rolling pin).
3 Tbs sage
6 cloves of garlic-pressed
1/2 cup brown sugar-optional, but I always use it.

Mix well, add meat. Marinate over night.
Lay out on dehydrator and pepper well.
Dehydrate
