just trying to get some information

I may have too many cockerels so I may have to get rid of them. And I would like to get new ones to replace them but I thought about just getting eggs eventually and have one of my hens hatch them? Will they hatch eggs that aren't theirs? I read about if I got chicks they would need to be introduced slowly so I thought this would delete that part. Any ideas on this?

Hens will incubate any eggs - even eggs of different species. Also broody hens will generally accept and foster chicks.
