I’m 95% certain this is a roo. His comb came up early but hasn’t gotten any bigger, and no attempt at crowing. Then the color on his wings started. But, the other roo started crowing a good month ago so maybe I still have hope.

What % cockerel do you give him? He’s a mutt. Dad was an OE and mom was a RIR.

Different parents - the other one was a “sexed pullet” from a hatchery. This one was my own game of hatch roulette.

Very much a cockerel. The pointed saddle feathers give it away.

He's showing pointy hackle and saddle feathers now. His comb and wattles are also very red & developed for a 12-13 week old. Confirmed cockerel!
