I’m 95% certain this is a roo. His comb came up early but hasn’t gotten any bigger, and no attempt at crowing. Then the color on his wings started. But, the other roo started crowing a good month ago so maybe I still have hope.

What % cockerel do you give him? He’s a mutt. Dad was an OE and mom was a RIR.

Is the other one that you know is a cockerel the same mix? If so, can you provide a picture of it as well by chance?

Different parents - the other one was a “sexed pullet” from a hatchery. This one was my own game of hatch roulette.
 
Two more weeks - no crowing / noise. If anyone sees anything obvious, let me know!
