Just wanted to say goodbye and thanks to you guys!!

I live in Orange, CA and my fiance and I recently decided to sell our house and move into an apartment which means I've had to sell my backyard flock

They all went to super good homes and I had an adoption fee of 15 dollars for the older ones and 10 dollars for the younger ones so I'm pretty confidant that no one I sold them to will use them just for meat birds. Everyone who bought them seemed really excited and happy about how beautiful and healthy they were, which makes me happy

I'll miss them so much!! Funny thing is, I never got one egg out of 'em!! little buggers!! hahahaha (the older ones were just about to start laying)

I'll also miss posting and responding to topics on this wonderful forum with you wonderful chicken loving people!! Hugs to all of you and your flocks!! I'll be back raising chickens but not for awhile... these animals are too fun and awesome to not have in my life!

I'm sorry you had to sell your birds, but you did what you had to do. Maybe someday soon you'll be in a place where you can have more chickens. Glad you were able to rehome them.

So sorry to see you go but many of us have been there when chickens just did not fit in our lives at the time and we take up on them later. Good luck and just because you don't have chickens anymore, you still love chickens and that's what this forum is all about. Don't be a stranger and let us know how you are doing and good luck.

I agree with what they all said! Just because you don't have chickens doesn't mean you have to leave. I am sure you have made a lot of friends here that will miss you. Please consider staying, even if it is just to chat! If you don't, I wish you a happy move and I hope you can get chickens again some day
