Just wanted to say Hello.

I am from east Tennessee and I have been reading this forum for the past few weeks. I am in the process of building a 6x4 coop. I have gotten so many great ideas of what I want to do from this forum. I am planning on getting 4 hens as soon as my coop and run is finished. My Neighbors have about 30 chickens and are willing to sell me some hens. I am starting with older chickens so I can get right into egg collecting. I have 4 Grandchildren ages 6,4,2,1. I hope they will enjoy caring for the chickens and collecting eggs.If the Grandchildren show interest I will be looking to expand and let them care for and raise a few chicks. So Hi to everyone and thanks for all of the great advice and knowledge you have shared.
