I've had chickens for just a few months & learning the ropes. We have 2RIR hens, 1 buff Sussex (6 mo old), 1 coronation sussex(6 mo old) & will be getting about 8 chicks in 2-3 weeks. I haven't done the chick thing, so hope all goes well. Getting 2 wheaten marans, 2 blue wheaten ameraucanas, and probably a SL Wyandotte , GL Wyandotte, & a couple Welsummers. I would sure like to get another coronation sussex & also a light sussex but only have so much room & they don't seem real easy to come by. Wow- chickens - I had know idea they could be so addictive. I want them all-jk!
