So, I thought this was a pretty amazing story and if anyone can relate, please share! 
Our friends live out in the country with somewhere around 100 chickens. Ish. They roam around with their goats and sometimes horses, and sleep in the goat barn occasionally! Their whole setup is pretty awesome.
A while ago, they had one hen who was missing a leg. They didn't know how she lost it, but she recovered and hopped around happily on one leg for a year or two. Then, in the wintertime, they were watching her hop through the snow through the window and she suddenly disappeared! A hawk had grabbed her and swooped away.
After a few days, it was clear that she wasn't coming back. More days passed. And then they saw her, hopping back on one leg, for the most part fine and unhurt! I think she's still alive to this day.
Anyways, just thought it was a cool story! I suppose the hawk dropped her somewhere near the house, neat that she found her way home though. Thanks for reading
