I was soooo hoping my duckling was one of these! But nowthat the feathers are coming in it looks like a call duck . So beautiful!!

yea that is true about most darker ducks as the females age they do get some white feathers, if u plan to still show them then all u need to do is pluck them out. That story is sort of funny because i bought them from a really good breeder of show quality duck here in michigan he does all the rare and wilds as well. The name of his place is white feather farm the reasoning behind the name is he first started out with east indies and cayugas and as the females aged they developed some not many white feathers and thats where he got the name. These ducks were feed purina duck pellets but i am now switching them over to another feed i have read alot about that mazuri which makes great food. I actually got two more eggs today so in about a week ill have about a doz up for grabs.
