just watched the funniest thing!!

We had spaghetti for supper, we had lots left over, so I decide to give it to my 6 white rock hens.
they went nuts, I saw spaghetti flying up in the air, they chased each other around and stole stands from each other. I threw two large handfuls on the lawn and the party was on!! They sucked it up like we do when sucking on that long strand, what a good belly laugh!

They got about a quarter pound of spaghetti, now I'm watching all 6 of them slowly walking, waddling rather back to the coop probably thinking, god, i've had way too much, time for a nap!

I've had my back to the TV with feet up on the window sill watching my chickens peck and scratch at the lawn at the same time being entertained and content with the pleasure of watching these simple animals. You haven't lived till you've watched chickens go about their daily lives.

Yes, spaghetti is one of the FUNNIEST things to give to them, it's like they think it's worms!

BTW, chicks are REALLY funny with it, especially if you only give one piece to several chicks--it becomes tug of war!

gonna try it with chicks in a few weeks, mine are only one week old right now, sounds like alot of fun!

so true.....I love watchiing them with spaghetti....one of the first treats they got as chicks and still entertaining!
