I found my broody hen roosting tonight. With her chicks roosting under her. They are 3 weeks old tomorrow. She also laid a shell-less egg from this roost last night, with her chicks under her. I've never read about this happening. Is this weird or normal?

Excuse the messy coop, it's getting emptied and scrubbed down this weekend.

The shell less egg is a little weird. Roosting with her chicks like that - pretty normal in my experience.
