Just when you least expect it, it happens! A perfectly formed, though slightly small, miracle. THE FIRST EGG!

Okay, so it was layed on TOP of the nesting box rather than inside, but that didn't stop me from whipping out the cell and sending pix to family, friends, total strangers! I should have call the local paper and tv stations!

I'm so excited this year for those 1st eggs.
Last year I was very pregnant and the week I had my baby my pullets started to lay. So I was occupied with other things.
This year I'm sooo excited and I don't know exactly how old my pullets are but I see signs of egg laying will start soon and I can't wait. I check several times a day.
