I just won an auction for some Silver Appleyard Duck eggs. Does anyone have any of these ducks? What are their temperments? Have you ever hatched any? How long do I incubate them for? I'm full of questions lol. I think they are beautiful, both the drakes and hens

I've never had Appleyards, but I can tell you that the incubation period is 28 days. Congrats - they really are beautiful birds. Good luck!

I got my eggs today. They were packed superbly. The auction was for 8 but he shipped 10. I've got them in a carton to settle and then I'll put them in the bator tomorrow

Yay! I am afraid to mail-order eggs. I had a bad experience with chicken eggs last year.

How are the air cells on the eggs? Did they all arrive intact as well?
