Doing my homework before I get my chickens.

Can I give the gals grass clippings? If i bag/vacuum my lawn, the grass clippings will have many bugs mixed in that I think they would love to gobble up. But, is it safe? After a few days, the grass clippings get rather stinky.

You can and I do, as long as you don't let it get too long before you cut. The thing about grass is that it is a little to fibrous and isn't that nutritious for monogastric animals. Tender forbs like clover, alfalfa, peas, buckwheat, turnips, radish, beets are all better.

It is safe as long as the lawn hasn't been chemically treated.

Thank you. Think they would enjoy scratching around in a small pile once in a while.
