Ok I have a goose gander lol who knows but we seem to have something going on, I unfortunately can't get into a vet til tomorrow as apparently not many avian vets here. The goose eats, drinks, poops etc just doesn't move around a lot , doesn't keep, extend neck or act like itself and keeps bill open to breath. Has anyone had this issue? I'm not sure if it will make it until tomorrow when I can go to a vet. It can still preen itself, extend it's neck etc. I'm lost, I thought it was impacted until I just watched it shit, normal goose shit lol, just like it's friend.

Sorry my phone sucks doesn't peep, makes a noise and tries, but like something is blocking it, can I make it puke? They also like to eat the horse hair, ugh geese

I think olive oil is supposed to help with impacted crop - other things to try are apple cider vinegar diluted in water? Im sorry I don't really know too much myself.

Don’t try putting oil or any liquid down the throat of a bird unless you know what your doing. You can cause it to aspirate liquid down into its lung. Causing it to throw up can also cause aspiration. Keep them away from horse hair, how old is this gosling?

The goslings I got in may. I know how to give birds medicine, I had to do it with my Birdie(duck) with asperlagosis lol however you spell that.

LoL and they are attacking the manes and tails of my horses when they lay down. My geese are free range and my electric fence is too tall to shock them.

Well unfortunately I don't even know if this vet will be able to see this goose to tomorrow not really sure if it will make it until then, I don't know how to massage or help and apparently no one else either so I'm just gonna watch this poor goose die right in front of me.

It doesn't even look or feel as an impaction, still eats and drinks, the crop isn't all hard, goose sounds like a squeaky toy
